This book has it all - and in a way that is very easy to read and accessible for readers of all ages. Very sweet romance, princes who save princesses, princesses who get themselves into very unfortunate situations, and a strained relationship between the princesses and their dad, the King. Will they ever call him "Papa" or will he be "sir" and "King" forever?
All the princesses are named in alpha order after flowers: the eldest is Azalea. Man, does she make some mistakes. But she's plucky and fun and a GREAT dancer. Her sisters Bramble and Clover also get in on the major action, but the rest of the princesses also have a role to play. It's amazing that throughout the book, Dixon gives enough detail of the different princesses that we don't lose track of who's who, although the names and alpha order help.
I recommend this highly for folks who like a new take on an old tale and folks who are fans of stories with magic, mystery and general good spirited mayhem. And of course a HAPPY ending!
